Check with Better Business Bureau, Right? Wrong!

Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a well known consumer watchdog. Thousands of people around US and Canada look up and rely on information it provides about businesses every day. But can this information be trusted 100%?

The information below was well known for quite some time now. But I want to make sure my readers know about these facts.

The case is this: businesses that don't pay for BBB membership usually get rating 'F'.

ABC investigation revealed this "Pay to Play" fact in 2010 in their article:

Unfortunately, you could pay to get a better BBB rating according to the article. It has been almost a year now since ABC investigation events. Investigations by Attorney Generals were conducted and things were improved. But the fact stays – there is no BBB for BBB itself.

Should you check business information and rating on BBB? Possibly.

Can you trust it 100% ? I doubt it.
