Thank you for your reply. Great question!

Here's a chain reaction: technology -> tech gurus and marketers ->
users/customers -> businesses. It's a matter of time when all businesses will be "forced" to have mobile in order not to loose a huge percent of mobile prospects. Regarding affiliate websites - most vendors I drive traffic to are mobile-friendly already. It's just the matter of time for the rest. Businesses in general are always a little behind to respond to customer's needs. After studying mobile marketing statistics and trends more in depth these past 2 weeks and after attending HubSpot's GoMobile webinar last week I am assured even more today - mobile sites are not an option anymore, especially for marketers.

For your own site it would look nice having a mobile version but I don't understand what's the use, if the affiliate links you have for example, if the user clicks on them and goes to the seller. There's a big chance the seller doesn't have a mobile version and that way your sales still won't increase or am I wrong about that?

Well, you need a separate transparent .png mobile and iPad header image(in PRO version).
I never had any problems with other images on pages. They are automatically re-sized for mobile. You might want to edit image properly in the original post.
